A packed day of convention ended with a rousing speech from Labour Minister Christina Gray and a moderated panel between Minister Gray and Minister Shaye Anderson.
After a welcome to Treaty Six Territory from Elder Maxx Yellowdirt, a morning of greetings, and an address from AFL President Gil McGowan; the afternoon of convention turned to updates on the AFL in Action and vibrant debate on important policy resolutions.
To close day one of convention we had a fantastic speech from Labour Minister Christina Gray where she re-committed to protecting public services, and reforming Alberta's outdated workplace legislation. This was followed by a moderated panel between her and Minister Shaye Anderson before adjourning for a reception with many MLAs from the provincial government.
